1. Scope
This policy covers cancellation and refunds for paid subscriptions to Filmistani (a product of BrandGuru). The free tier remains free at all times and is not affected by this policy.
2. Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page under "Subscription & Billing".
- On cancellation, your paid benefits remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. You will not be billed again.
- If you cancel within 7 days of the first-ever purchase of a plan and have not used any paid-only feature, you are eligible for a full refund (see section 3).
3. Refund eligibility
Refunds are issued in the following cases:
- 7-day money-back: If you cancel within 7 days of your first subscription purchase AND have not consumed paid-only features (e.g. premium AI Concierge messages beyond the free quota), you can request a full refund.
- Duplicate payment: If you were charged twice for the same billing cycle due to a system error, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.
- Failed service: If Filmistani experiences an outage longer than 24 continuous hours during your active billing cycle, a pro-rated refund is available on request.
Refunds are not issued for:
- Partial month / mid-cycle cancellations (you keep access till cycle end instead).
- Plans that have been actively used beyond the 7-day window.
- Promotional or discounted plans marked "non-refundable" at purchase.
4. How to request a refund

- Include: order ID / Razorpay transaction ID, date of purchase, reason for refund
5. Processing time
Approved refunds are initiated within 3 business days from approval and reach the original payment method within 5-7 business days (depending on your bank / card issuer). The refund will appear on your original payment method.
